The 2024 PBF Annuals and National Youth Championships held at E-Lanes Bowling Center, Ortigas, San Juan, Manila from December 26-30, 2024, will be remembered as a testament to the grit, skill, and determination of the STAI BowlerX team, as they delivered outstanding performances on the national stage.

Competing against the best young bowlers in the country, STAI BowlerX rose to the occasion, securing multiple medals and cementing their status as a force to be reckoned with in the Philippine bowling scene.

MEDAL WINNING PERFORMANCES

In the Ladies Doubles event, Alyana Abelada and Antonnette Garcia showcased precision and synergy, earning the silver medal, while Tracey Tan and Nicole Agujo followed closely, bagging the bronze medal.

In the Boys’ Team of Four, STAI Youth Team B, composed of Jay Miguel Chua, Rephael Besana, Micco Necesario, and Ice Villarosa, fought valiantly and displayed resilience under pressure to secure the bronze medal.

The powerhouse team of Tracey Tan, Antonnette Garcia, Alyana Abelada, and Nicole Agujo clinched the silver medal in the Ladies Team event, proving their prowess and teamwork. Though they narrowly missed the championship, their “never-say-die” attitude earned them recognition and admiration.

A BRIGHT FUTURE

The remarkable performances of the Ladies Team caught the attention of PSC Commissioner Olivia “Bong” Coo, who awarded them a sponsorship to compete in the prestigious Philippine International Open in 2025. This opportunity reflects their growing legacy and solidifies their position as emerging stars in Philippine bowling.

The success of STAI BowlerX would not have been possible without the unwavering support of their mentors and sponsors, namely Billy and OJ Lopue, BowlerX, and the incredible generosity of Mark and Flor Hodgkinson, whose commitment to these athletes provided the foundation for their achievements.

Beyond their skills displayed on the lanes, the STAI BowlerX team demonstrated grace, dignity, and sportsmanship in both victory and defeat. This successful campaign highlighted their relentless pursuit of excellence, inspiring a new generation of bowlers to dream big and aim high.*
