Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has invited the mayors of Negros Occidental to a zoom meeting 4 p.m. today to further boost the provincewide fight against Covid-19, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said yesterday.
The meeting will be held for the uniform contact tracing and the setting up of procedures on emergency operation centers in the towns and cities of Negros Occidental, Diaz said.
The meeting will be joined by retired general Mel Feliciano, Visayas Inter Agency Task Force head, he added.
Meanwhile, to further intensify its contact tracing operations, the Bacolod City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is implementing a system similar to the South Cotabato COVID Contact Tracing System (SC-CCTS) this week, City Administrator Em Ang said.
Ang, who is also EOC executive director, said the adopted system will be called “Bacolod City COVID-19 Contact Tracing (BaC-Trac)”.
She said Bacolod is adopting the SC-CCTS as its online contact tracing system to record the movement of residents around Bacolod City and elsewhere in the province, and to easily locate people suspected of having had contacts with COVID-19 patients.*
