In celebration of National Children’s Book Day 2025, the Buglas Writers Circle, in partnership with the Bacolod City Public Library and the Christian Art National Various Arts Society (CANVAS), will launch a book titled “Si Juan Pusong at Iba Pang Kuwentong-Bayan ng Negros” on July 15 at the Bacolod City Public Library, Hernaez Street, Bacolod City at 5 p.m.
The newly published book, under Gem Publishing, features a collection of retold folk stories from Negros written by Negrense authors.
Through storytelling, reading sessions, and a ceremonial book signing, the event seeks to honor the enduring power of Filipino folklore in nurturing imagination, values, and identity among our youth to uplift our cultural heritage through literature.
