The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, through its Public Employment and Services Office (PESO), launched its “Negros Jobs” online portal, aiming at reducing the unemployment rate in the province by providing a dedicated platform where employers and job seekers can connect.
Negros Jobs is a strategic initiative of the provincial government committed to empowering job seekers, strengthening employer-employee relationships, and fostering sustainable employment growth across Negros Occidental.
The portal seeks to invigorate the local job market by offering a dynamic digital space that links local talents with reputable employers, thereby promoting economic stability and growth.
In an interview during the launch yesterday, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II, Provincial Administrator, highlighted the portal’s purpose stating that “It was designed to match the needs of employers in the province with the skills and aspirations of our Negrenses who are seeking employment.”
With the launch of Negros Jobs, job seekers will have access to a wide array of employment opportunities and community-driven initiatives that support economic empowerment.
Diaz emphasized that the portal is a vital solution to help local talents find suitable employment and to foster a more efficient job matching process.
“Our goal is to address unemployment by reducing the time individuals spend jobless. Through this portal, they can easily see available jobs that match their skills. At the same time, employers benefit because they can identify the best candidates based on the data provided by job seekers,” he explained.
The initiative, facilitated by PESO in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), underscores the province’s commitment to creating a more inclusive and responsive employment landscape for all Negrenses.*
