Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday led the ceremonial sendoff of 11 ambulance units, which will be strategically prepositioned in 11 Local Government Units (LGUs) across Negros Occidental, to enhance their emergency response capabilities.

The recipients include Don Salvador Benedicto, San Enrique, E.B. Magalona, Cadiz City, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, Candoni, Valladolid, Cauayan, Isabela, and Toboso.

Each LGU also received one Basic Life Support (Type 1) ambulance unit, equipped with essential medical tools, and manned by trained, dedicated drivers.

The effort was spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), which aims to ensure prompt and efficient emergency medical services (EMS), highlighting the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and improving healthcare access in the province, according to statement issued by the Provincial Public Information Office.*
