• GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Elected officials from Negros Island are set to join the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), a political party of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

About 200 to 300 Negros Island officials are taking their oaths as new PFP members, in a ceremony to be held today, August 26, at the L’ Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City, to be administered by PFP president, South Cotabato Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr.

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, a member of the Nationalist People’s Coalition, TESDA Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez, and Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, president of the Negros Association of Chief Executives (ACE), will give their respective messages of support.

Board Member Anthony Dennis Occeño has been designated as the PFP provincial chairman, while Himamaylan City Mayor Rogelio Raymund Tongson will introduce the guest speaker.

NPC and National Unification Party (NUP) of Vice Gov. Jeffrey have allied with the PFP, which was formed in 2018.*
