Negros Power announced yesterday that power rates for residential consumers have dropped to P11.4766 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), a significant reduction of P0.6711 from last month’s rate
This positive shift is attributed to a combination of factors, including lower generation costs and a decrease in transmission charges, according to a statement issued by the distribution utility.
Negros Power further said that the reduction in electricity rates will directly benefit consumers, providing them with more disposable income and easing the financial burden of their monthly bills.
“We are committed to providing reliable and affordable electricity, and we will continue to explore ways to improve our services and provide value to our consumers,” it added.*
