Juanito Victor Remulla, Secretary of the Interior and Local Government, was guest of honor and speaker during the 90th induction ceremony of the Negros Press Club, the oldest press club in the country, at Roy’s Hotel, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City on April 24.
Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson administered the oath of office of Primrose Catherine Tejida as NPC president during the event, while other officers were inducted into office by Bacolod Mayor Greg Gasataya.
They were Lourd John Diaz – vice president, Maureen Andrea Soliguen – secretary, Nona Magbanua – treasurer, Merlinda Pedrosa – auditor, and Mae Singuay, Eden Thea Aboso, Red Salgado and Chito Berjit – board of directors, and Mark Gabriel Salanga – ex-officio.

New NPC members were also inducted into office.
The event was also attended by Philippine National Police Chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr.; Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina Roque; Bacolod Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez; 4th District Board Members Nicholas Yulo and Paula Alonso-Valderrama; Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region PBGen. Arnold Ibay; NOCPPO Director PCol. Dennis Wenceslao; Bacolod Police Director PCol. Eugene Rebadomia; and former Bacolod mayor Monico Puentevella.*
