The physical structure of the new Provincial Administration Center (PAC) worth almost P1 billion is targeted for completion by August this year, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz disclosed on Friday.
Diaz said the furniture fixtures have already been ordered, adding that it will be delivered as soon as the building is ready for occupancy.
Contractor Dynamic Builders started construction in 2022.
The 7-storey PAC building along Aguinaldo Street will house various provincial government offices presently located in different buildings near the century-old Provincial Capitol building in Bacolod City.
Diaz reported that the construction of the new PAC is 70 percent complete.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said the new PAC building will be operational next year. He, however, said that he wants the Governor’s Office to remain at the Provincial Capitol building, which is the symbol of Negros Occidental’s seat of power.
Lacson said that he may set up a receiving area at the new PAC building.
A multi-level parking area has been built next to the new PAC building.*
