The construction of the almost P1 billion new Provincial Administration Center (PAC) at its original site in Bacolod City has already started, according to Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.
Diaz said that there is now ongoing demolition and clearing of debris at the old Provincial Veterinarian Office, which is in the vicinity of the PAC.
The proposed transfer of new PAC to a property purchased by the provincial government in Talisay City was shelved after its contractor, Dynamic Builders, did not agree to undergo a rebidding, disclosed Gov, Eugenio Jose Lacson earlier.
But Lacson said they will still push for generating economic activity in the area, which is now being studied.
Dynamic Builders is constructing a 7-story PAC building, which will house all the provincial government offices.
The contractor has been a given a timeline to complete the project that has a cost of almost P1 billion within a period of three years.
Dynamic Builders and Construction Corp. was already paid the usual 15 percent advance payment for its mobilization fund.*
