Four Negrense officials were named Outstanding Men & Women of Western Visayas by a non-government organization in Iloilo City.
Sipalay City Councilor Leslie Alejano, Himamaylan City Councilor Janet Villafranca, EB Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon, and Escalante Councilor Virgie Pastor, were among 19 local government officials and personalities in Region 6 who received the award on December 10, 2023.
The awards were given by Keep on Talking, an NGO led by Jorge Favila Lopera.
The organization has been recognizing outstanding men and women in Region 6, over the past 12 years.*
