The president of the Negros Grace Pharmacy donated last Tuesday 1,000 sacks of premium rice for Bacolodnons affected by the Covid-19 pandemic through Bacolod Congressman Greg Gasataya and Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran.

Ian Manuel Lo had also given financial asistance last week to the 17 families affected by a fire in Purok Paho, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City amounting to P3,000 per family, as part of their corporate social responsibility to the community according to a press release from Negros Grace Pharmacy.

Lo saw the need to extend assistance to the people of Bacolod affected by the pandemic and other calamities as it is in his nature to share.

Earlier, Lo had also donated more than 3,000 sacks of rice and other essential food assistance in collaboration with the local government unit of Bacolod and many other LGU’s in Negros Occidental at the inception and rise of the Covid-19 cases.

Aside from the recent donation of 1,000 sacks of rice to the City of Bacolod, he also donated 500 sacks to the Province of Negros Occidental through Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.

He said, “it is just their way of helping others who in one way or another also helped our company grow and expand—a little act of kindness that can somehow help a family.”

Gasataya and Familiaran also extended their gratitude to NGP president Ian Lo for his continued generosity to his fellow Bacolodnons and Negrenses the press release also said.

“Just like him and others, we are just an instrument of his goodness. We greatly thank him on behalf of the people of Bacolod. We hope his works will be emulated,” they said.

Negros Grace Pharmacy is the leading chain of drug stores operating in Bacolod City, Province of Negros Occidental, and Panay area.

Quality and affordable medicines and other merchandise are being sold at more than 70 NGP branches in Western Visayas. The untiring effort of Lo has resulted in the significant growth and expansion of NGP in the community it serves.*
