Delegates from the Negros Island Region (NIR) clinched top national honors during the awarding of the Most Outstanding School Paper Advisers and Most Outstanding Campus Journalists at the 2026 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC).
Leading the awardees was NIR School Paper Advisers Association President Ricardo Misajon Jr. of the Schools Division Office (SDO) – La Carlota City, who was named one of the Most Outstanding Elementary School Paper Advisers in the country, recognizing his excellence in campus journalism leadership and mentorship.
Also earning national distinction was Lorenzo Magsipoc of SDO – Bacolod City, who was conferred the title of Most Outstanding Secondary School Paper Adviser.
In the student category, Daniel Enrico Chua of SDO – Victorias City was recognized as one of the Most Outstanding Secondary Campus Journalists, while Sugar Snow Borra of SDO – La Carlota City was named one of the Most Outstanding Elementary Campus Journalists.
The recognition of these awardees underscored the Negros Island Region’s strong showing on the national stage, reflecting its sustained commitment to excellence in campus journalism.
