The 33rd Kanga Cup International Soccer Tournament, presented by Capital Football, Canberra ACT, Australia, the biggest annual youth soccer event in the Southern Hemisphere where the Philippines women’s national team debuted in the prestigious FIFA Women World Cup 2023, is Negrense homegrown women booters’ intercontinental athletics conquest.
After grabbing the Challenge Cup – Mundial crown in Panaad Stadium, the NIR XI Girls Under 15 continue to gather supporters and land pledges from private and public entities.
The delegation that will take off on July 12 is composed of grade 7-10 students from University of St. La Salle – Renee Gavriel Animathea Lomugdang and Ysabel Anara Yasay, St. Scholastica’s Academy Bacolod, Shanel Dominique Moliquen and Hushlee Lhannia De Larrazabal, Maranatha Christian College Bacolod – Angel Nicole Segovia, Silliman University – Kelsy Sky Anub, Escalante National High School – Jhayne Dalogdog, Bacolod Trinity Christian School – Yannah Marie Amar, Nathalie Rhaine Andres, Claudia Elise Montinola, Rothere Allahnaise Obfenda, and Marinel Gonzales.
Mundial de Futbol, together with NIR Girls U15 will hold its 3rd Summer Soccer Clinic at Robinsons Mall Atrium, Bacolod City for Ages 5-10 on April 12, and also to promote the inaugural FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup to be held in Victorias City, Negros Occidental on November 21 – December 7, 2025 presented by Philippine Football Federation and Negros Occidental Regional Football Association.
“First among all in the Island’s history that homegrown girls will represent not only Philippines but the newly formed Negros Island Region,” said Luis Edmundo Anacleto Yasay, a board member of the Gardenville United Football Club Inc.
