The month long anti-drug campaign of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) led to the arrest of 131 drug suspects, while the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized P11.1 million worth of illegal drugs for the month of February.
In a report, the Police Regional Office 6 disclosed that NOCPPO accounted for 39.22 percent of 334 drug suspects arrested in Western VIsayas, with 65 arrests made by BCPO.
NOCPPO logged the most arrested drug suspects, while BCPO recorded the highest volume of confiscated illegal drugs.
PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, regional police director of Western Visayas, commended all the concerned police units for their laudable accomplishments, which he said a product of collective efforts between the PNP, local government units, and other law enforcement agencies.
“To those who opt to continue engaging in the illicit trade, expect that our law enforcement operations will be intensified to make you answerable of your actions,” Wanky said in a statement issued by PRO 6 Public Information Office.
All over the region, PRO 6 reported the arrest of 334 drug suspects, and the recovery of 5.8 kilos of suspected shabu and 2.5 kilos of dried marijuana leaves with a total market value of P39.9 million.*
