Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez congratulated both the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), for being national awardees in the search for best outstanding police units in the country.
NOCPPO was adjudged as best provincial police office, and BCPO as best City Police Office in the entire country.
Lacson said that NOCPPO, under the leadership of PCol. Leo Pamittan, have performed well based on the PNP standards.
Benitez also lauded the outstanding performance of BCPO under the stewardship of PCol. Noel Aliño.
With an impressive overall rating of 97.04, BCPO’s outstanding performance has rightfully placed them at the top position among other worthy contenders from across the Philippines, the mayor said.
This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the exemplary leadership, professionalism and unwavering dedication exhibited by every member of the team, Benitez also said.
Moreover, this does not only exemplify excellence in law enforcement but also instill a profound sense of trust and confidence among the people of Bacolod, he further stressed.
Both NOCPPO and BCPO were runners up in the previous year’s search for outstanding police units in the country.
The PNP celebrates the Police Service Anniversary every August 8 of each year in commemoration of the joint founding anniversaries of the Philippine Constabulary established in 1901 and the Integrated National Police organized in 1975, both forerunner organizations of the contemporary PNP.*
