The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office and the San Carlos City Police Station were awarded by the Police Regional Office 6 as outstanding provincial police office and city police station, respectively, in Western Visayas, in the field of Police Community Relations, at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City, during the culmination of the 26th PCR Month celebration yesterday.
P/Col. Romy Palgue, NOCPPO provincial director, and P/Lt. Col. Arthur Baybayan, San Carlos CPS officer-in-charge, who participated virtually via cloud-based video communication, received the awards.
P/Lt. Abegael Donasco, NOCPPO deputy spokesperson, said businessman Jerry Sy, who owns the Silver Dragon Construction Company, was also recognized as Best Stakeholder for Individual Award, while Yusay G Foundation was named Best Stakeholder for Organizational Award.
Donasco said the Sy and Yusay foundations are supportive partners of NOCPPO in its programs and projects that promote police and community partnership.
Aside from the unit and special awards, the winners of the PRO6 Sining Bayanihan were also recognized, and NOCPPO was first place in the Visual Arts category.
NOCPPO also held its own PCR culminating activity yesterday, and cited the city police stations of San Carlos, Sipalay, and Cadiz as Best City Police Stations while that of Hinigaran, Toboso, and Isabela were named Best Municipal Police Stations, all in the field of PCR.
Palgue congratulated all the personnel for the recognition received by NOCPPO.*
