NOCPPO seizes P2M shabu in a week

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) reported on Tuesday the confiscation of more than P2 million worth of suspected shabu from 12 arrested drug suspects, for the period of July 14 to 20.

Eleven anti-drug operations conducted by the different police units under the supervision of NOCPPO resulted in the confiscation of 306.2 grams of suspected shabu valued at P2,083,180.

Two more drug suspects were arrested by the police on July 21, in the cities of Escalante and Himamaylan, which yielded about two grams of suspected shabu, and a Smith and Wesson caliber .38 revolver with four ammunition.

Meanwhile, from July 14 to 20, a total of 42 suspects were arrested for violations of illegal gambling, four others for illegal possession of firearms, 38 wanted persons collared, and 19 for illegal fishing.*
