As the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) vies for the national award as Best Provincial Police Office, its provincial police director, PCol. Leo Pamittan, and PCol. Thomas Joseph Martir, director of the Bacolod City Police Office, have been conferred with Medalya ng Pagkilalala (PNP Recognition Medal) during awarding rites held July 18 at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City.
The medals given to Martir, Pamittan and seven other police commanders, was in recognition of their exemplary performance in the Individual Commanders Performance Evaluation Rating for April this year and contribution in making Police Regional Office 6 as number 1 overall in the PNP rating.
NOCPPO is also competing for the award as Best Provincial Police Office all over the country, its provincial police spokesman, PLt. Judesses Catalogo said.
Members of the evaluation team from Camp Crame led by PBrig. Dexter Rellora, the executive officer of the PNP Directorate for Plans, conducted the Field Evaluation and Validation (FEV) on July 18, at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.
The awarding of best police units and outstanding police personnel nationwide will be held during the 127th Police Service anniversary celebration next month at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is the expected guest of honor and speaker.*
