The Information Office of San Carlos City continued its information and education campaign (IEC) for the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program (NOSP) in Sipaway Island on October 11.
The IO team composed of Eddie Flor Silva, Noel Mondragon, and Sheryll Lou Paraguya went to Sipaway National High School (SNHS) to conduct IEC and also assist the Grade 12 senior high school students who are the beneficiaries of the scholarship program of the province.
Information Officer Eddie Flor Silva said they will be visiting public and private high schools to make sure that Grade 12 students will get a fair chance to apply for free college education especially those whose families belonged to the poverty line.
She also cited that they want to help the province disseminate the information on the scholarship program so more underprivileged students can apply.
The group was warmly welcomed by the school Principal Edgar Palagtiosa and teacher Ma. Jessicar Jarabe.
Yesterday, the group visited the Don Carlos Ledesma NHS in the morning and Bagonbon NHS in the afternoon.*
