Obando dance competition celebrates Parish patronal fest

The Parish of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage at Airport Subdivision in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City held its 49th Patronal Fiesta celebration in honor of its principal patroness Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Bien Viaje).

A Pilgrimage for Peace dance procession was held Saturday morning from the San Sebastian Cathedral going to Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish.

The Obando Street and Arena dance competition was participated by seven competing groups from different puroks in Barangay Singcang-Airport, while 10 groups joined the Duyan making competition.

Entry no.7 composed of Purok Cadena de Amor, Villa Servando Subd., and Purok Roma was second runner-up*

Entry no. 4 representing Purok Rosal was declared over-all champion in the Obando Street and Arena dance competition and took home P15,000 in cash prize. Entry no. 3 composed of Purok Sampaguita I, III, and IV was first runner-up and bagged the Best in Street Dance. It received P10,000 in cash prize. While entry no.7 composed of Purok Cadena de Amor, Villa Servando Subdivision and Purok Roma was second runner-up and also won the Best in Arena dance performance. It took home P5,000 in cash.

Entry no.6 representing Purok Cadena de Amor was declared champion in the Duyan making competition. While entry no.8 representing Purok Rosal and entry no.9 representing Purok Roma were first and second runners-up respectively.*
