The Office of the Civil Defense 6 yesterday warned the public of unscrupulous individuals, claiming to represent the OCD, or regional director Raul Fernandez, to solicit money.
In a statement, OCD 6 the scammers are asking for money to “ensure smooth transactions” with OCD.
They are soliciting money to be deposited to the account of a certain Ludivina Apao Betoc with number 09703598542, according to OCD.
The OCD does not, and will never solicit, money, gifts, or favors for any transactions or services, it added.
In a notice to the public, OCD further said that any such requests are fraudulent and should be disregarded, as it also strongly urged them not to entertain, or respond to such calls or messages.
