The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod City, led by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, recently presented to Fred Louie Donguez, Most Outstanding Student Leader of the Philippines at the 3rd International Convention in Student Affairs and Services, a copy of the resolution congratulating him for his achievement, during his appearance at the SP.
The resolution said that Donguez, a Bacolodnon, was among the participants in a country-wide convention attended by well-known universities in Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City last October 1.
The convention seeks to annually award and recognize students all over the country who have shown exemplary dedication to improve the students’ welfare of his or her respective university, it said.
The prestigious award was presented by the Transforming Advocates and Champions (TRAC), a SEC registered, non-profit organization specializing in comprehensive development training, emphasizing transformational and purpose-driven leadership. It is a dynamic and enthusiastic team of innovative leaders with significant expertise in leadership development and advocacy enhancement programs, the resolution said.
The founder of TRAC has over a decade of experience in the Student Affairs and Development field and has participated in various national and international organizations related to student affairs and services, it said.
Donguez served as the University Student Government of the University of St. La Salle and has been acknowledged for his exemplary contribution to the student body, the resolution said.
This achievement will undoubtedly set the tone that Bacolod City has for its citizens, competent and dedicated individuals capable of inspiring others to promote student welfare, academic excellence, and social responsibility, it added.*
