
The city government of Victorias City in Negros Occidental honored the Nikki Cares Foundation Inc. and several outstanding Victoriasanons for their exemplary achievements and contributions to the community during the regular flag-raising ceremony at the city public plaza on July 8.
The award for the Nikki Cares Foundation was received by its president, Dominique Lopez Benitez.
The OFW Help Desk/Migrant Office of the City of Victorias was also commended for their distinguished recognition given by the Province of Negros Occidental Provincial Committee on Migration and Development.
The recognition highlighted their relentless support to migrant workers and their families, thereby aiding the Provincial Government in caring for and empowering this vital sector, a statement from the City Public Information Office said.
The Victorias City Police Station also received two letters of commendation for their outstanding performance in the first quarter of 2024.
The City Police force, led by its chief, PLt. Col. Roy Rodrigo Gutierrez, was recognized for being the Top Performing Component City Police Station for the Most Number of Police Operations and Arrests of Wanted Persons, as well as for the Most Number of Police Operations Against Illegal Gambling.
Adjudged as best City Hall employees for the month of May, Hecell Policarpio, Manilyn Estopito, Josephine Buenacosa, and John Borrero, also received their respective awards.
Ma. Theresa Divinagracia was also congratulated for graduating Cum Laude with a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod.
A resolution was also passed by the Victorias Sangguniang Panglunsod congratulating the new NONECO General Manager, Engr. Wilbe Bilbao.*
