Due to continuous rains caused by the southwest monsoon and typhoon “Crising”, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) distributed 2,697 relief boxes in various areas of Negros Occidental Sunday, a press release the OVP said.
Through the OVP-Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office, the relief boxes were delivered to each flood-affected family from 12 cities and municipalities.
The OVP is grateful for the coordination of LGU staff from Himamaylan City, Binalbagan, Ilog, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Himamaylan, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Army, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and Rescue Recon.*
