Separate buy bust operations conducted by the police in Negros Occidental on July 13 led to the apprehension of six suspects and the seizure of more than P435,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Police confiscated about 45 grams of suspected shabu from an arrested drug peddler identified as Ricky Tocaste, during a buy bust operation in Sitio Sagahan, Brgy. General Luna, Toboso. The seized suspected shabu has a market value of P306,000, according to the Toboso police.
Three other suspects identified as Rodelyn Arias, Jon Karlo Teovisio, and Rila Joy Cañete were also arrested by the police in another buy bust operation at Purok Sambag in Brgy. 6, Kabankalan City. Their arrests yielded about 10 grams of shabu valued at P68,000, according to the police.
The apprehension of Edsil Estancia in another buy bust operation at Zone 5 in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, also yielded an estimated seven grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P47,600.
Another buy bust operation at Canetown Subdivision in Brgy. 19A, Victorias City, led to the arrest of a drug suspect identified by the police as Ryan Constantino, and the recovery of about two grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P13,600.*
