P.7M shabu seized in Bacolod

Policemen yesterday seized an estimated P714,000 worth of suspected shabu from a drug suspect who was arrested during a buy bust operation at Villa Angela in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City.

PCol. Joseph Thomas Martir, director of the Bacolod City Police Office, yesterday identified the arrested suspect as Oliver Hong, alias Dodoy, classified as a High Value Individual drug personality.

The joint operation of the BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit led by PLt. Joven Mogato and Provincial Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 6 under the supervision of PCol. Jimmy Laguyo yielded about 105 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P714,000 and P3,000 in marked money.

Another buy-bust operation on January 18 in Brgy. 4, Silay City, Negros Occidental, also led to the apprehension of Artemio and Marilyn Agura, both listed as Street Level Individual drug personalities by the police.

The Silay police Drug Enforcement Unit recovered about eight grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P54,400, its assorted paraphernalia, marked money of P100 as well as P1,500 boodle money, and a cellular phone.

The arrest of Lowel Vingno also in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, on January 17 for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, yielded five grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P34,000.

The apprehension of another drug suspect identified by the police as Rozbert Delima in another buy-bust operation also yielded about 1.3 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P8,840.*
