Police seized about P1,190,000 worth of suspected shabu from five suspects who were separately arrested on March 21 in Bacolod City and E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.
In a statement, the Bacolod City Police Office reported the apprehension of alias Nico, 22, during a buy bust operation at Purok Rose in Barangay 9, Bacolod City.
His apprehension yielded an estimated 125 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P850,000.
Another buy bust operation at Hacienda Banilad 1 in Brgy. Nanca, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental, led to the arrest of four more suspects and the recovery of about 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at P340,000.
Among those arrested were alias Mario, where about 41 grams of suspected shabu was recovered from his possession. His arrested 19-year-old son also yielded an estimated three grams of illegal drugs, according to a report of the E.B. Magalona Police Station.
The apprehension of two other drug suspects, alias Kimberly and alias Jay R, yielded six grams of suspected shabu, the report added.
Recovered by the E.B. Magalona police, led by PMaj. Eric Doronilla, were an improvised tooter, and a caliber .38 revolver with three ammunition.*
