A series of intensified anti-drug operations on April 3 by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) resulted in the apprehension of five drug suspects, confiscation of 173 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,176,400, and a firearm.
The biggest drug haul was at Purok Sigay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City, where Police Station 2 operatives led by P/Maj. Eugene Tolentino arrested alias Joshua, 27, and alias Jobel, 32.
The police recovered about 160 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,088,000 and a caliber .45 pistol.
Another buy bust operation at the Abada Escay in Brgy. Vista Alegre in Bacolod City, led to the confiscation of about seven grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P47,000, and the arrest of two suspected drug peddlers, identified through their aliases Toto and Mark.
The anti-drug operation was conducted by Police Station 5 operatives led by PMaj. Marc Joeil Reclamado.
Operatives of the Police Station 4 led by P/Maj. Elmer Bonilla also arrested alias Nono at Purok Cubay in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, for alleged violation of RA 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
His apprehension yielded about six grams of suspected shabu valued at P40,800, according to the police.*
