Policemen confiscated P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu and an unlicensed gun with ammunition in Negros Occidental, including highly urbanized Bacolod City, resulting in the arrest of a 53-year-old and her twins, as well as four other drug suspects.
Armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Cyclamen Fernandez, a team of policemen supervised by PLt. Col. Lowell Garinganao raided the residence of Leovic Conejos, alias Boy Boy, on November 26 at Purok Paghidaet Brgy. RSB, La Carlota City.
The raid yielded a homemade 12-gauge shotgun with six live ammunition, five ammunition for 7.62m and caliber .38 revolver, three sachets of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia, police records show.
The apprehension of Delvie Rodrigues on Nov. 25 at Purok Baybayon in Brgy Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental, also yielded an estimated 25 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P190,400, police said.
Another arrested drug suspect identified as Gilbert Dimson also yielded P13,6000 worth of illegal drugs. He was nabbed during a buy bust operation on Nov. 26 in Purok Magbinuligay, Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City.
The buy bust operation in Brgy. 1A, Manapla, also on Saturday, led to the arrest of Steve Silava, alias Tata, and the recovery of about 15 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,054,000, marked money of P1,000 and P250 in cash.
The apprehension of Memar Diopeta and her twin sons, Wowwie and Wendel, on Nov. 25 in another buy bust operation at Purok Sigay, Brgy. 2, Bacolod City, also yielded about 20 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P136,000, P500 in marked money and P400 in cash, police said.
Policemen also arrested Joebert Villegas in Brgy. Cabagnaan, LaCastellana, Negros Occidental, for illegal possession of firearms.
His apprehension also yielded an improvised caliber .38 pistol without ammunition.*
