A total of 210 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,428,000 was seized from a high-value target during a buy-bust operation at Purok Paraiso, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, yesterday, March 25.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit identified the suspect as 24-year-old alias ‘Boss,’ an unemployed resident of the area.
According to police reports, the suspect allegedly sold a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing the illicit substance to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P1,000 in buy-bust money.
Upon the arrest, authorities recovered six additional heat-sealed sachets and two knot-tied transparent plastic bags, all containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
The confiscated items have been turned over to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
The suspect now faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
