Steel footbridges, worth P1.5-million, were recently completed in the outskirt barangays of Moises Padilla town in Negros Occidental.
Mayor Ella Garcia-Yulo said the budget was sourced from the town’s development fund.
The fund covered the 30-meter long footbridge in Barangay Quintin Remo, 25-meter long footbridge in Barangay Guinpana-an, and 12-meter long footbridge in Barangay Magallon Cadre.
Yulo said the footbridges were built March to July this year to ensure the safety of residents, who used to cross creeks on makeshift bridges.*
