P1.6M shabu seized in Negros Occidental

The arrest of seven drug suspects in separate buy bust operations in Negros Occidental, on March 13 and 14, has yielded P1.6 million in illegal drugs.

More than P1 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated by operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group, from a suspected drug peddler who was apprehended during a buy bust operation on Tuesday, in Brgy. 27, Bacolod City.

Nabbed was Mark Salmingo, 26, of Purok Starapple, Brgy. 27, Bacolod City. Recovered by the police during his arrest were 150 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,020,000.

Policemen also arrested Ian Alindog, alias Pato, on March 13 in another buy bust operation in Brgy. Mansilingan, in the same city.

An estimated 52 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P353,600, and assorted illegal drugs paraphernalia, were confiscated by the police during the buy bust operations.

Two other drug suspects identified by the police as Euwelyn Tamta and Mary Joy Garito were nabbed on Tuesday at Sitio Salvacion in Brgy. 6, Victorias City.

The arrests yielded 13 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P88,400, marked money of P500, and P200 in cash, police said. The apprehensions of Dinal Aguilar in Brgy. Blumentritt, Murcia, as well as Nenita Bustillo and Erwin Algabia in Brgy. Sampinit, Bago City, also on March 14, resulted in the confiscation of 10 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P2,700, marked money of P1,000, a black Hyundai Accent vehicle, among other items, police records further showed.*
