• GILBERT P. BAYORAN

More than P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu was recovered by the police in a buy bust operation on September 1 at Progreso Village II in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City.

The arrested suspect, identified as Justin Gayoso, alias Tin Tin, had previously been arrested in 2017 for violation of RA 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, and released through a plea bargaining agreement three years after, police records showed.

His apprehension yielded about 235 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P1,720,400.

Gayoso has been classified by the police as High Value Individual drug personality.

The recovery of P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu came two days after police also recovered more than two kilos of suspected shabu, with a market value of P13.7 million, from two arrested drug suspects in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.*
