A series of anti-illegal drug operations of the police in highly urbanized Bacolod City on March 6 and 7 led to the confiscation of P1.9 million worth of suspected shabu from four arrested drug suspects.
The apprehension of alias Alfie on March 7, during a buy bust operation in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City, yielded about 200 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,360,000.
Another buy bust operation in Brgy. Handumanan, Bacolod City, yesterday conducted by the police Drug Enforcement Unit under the supervision of PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez, resulted in the confiscation of about 70 grams of suspected shabu valued at P476,000.
On Thursday, a successful anti-drug operation in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, led to the arrest of two drug suspects identified only by their aliases Yan Yan and Benjie, and the seizure of 11 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P74,800.
The four arrested suspects will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, a statement from the Bacolod City Police Office said.
Another drug suspect was arrested by the police on Thursday at Purok Nabantuan 1, in Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City.
The apprehension of alias Janbern, a 31-year-old motorcycle driver, yielded about 1.4 grams of suspected shabu, valued P9,520, and P500 in marked money.*
