P10.2 M shabu seized in San Carlos

Policemen yesterday seized more than P10 million worth of suspected shabu from an arrested drug suspect in Brgy. Guadalope, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Nabbed during a joint buy-bust operation of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Group of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and San Carlos City Police Station was Joel Rizardo, 24, considered by the police as High Value Individual drug personality.

The apprehension of Rizardo yielded about 1.5 kilos of suspected shabu with a market value of P10.2 million, police said.

However, a certain Jean Compacion managed to escape, police further said.

Rizardo ranked number one in the priority drug watch list of the San Carlos City Police Station.

A joint operation of the City Drug Enforcement Unit and Provincial Drug Enforcement Group also led yesterday to the arrest of a drug suspect identified as Vivencio Estolano Jr., alias Onyot, at Purok Tahong in Brgy. 2, Bacolod City.

PCol. Joseph Martir, director of the Bacolod City Police Office, said that the arrest of Estolano yielded 21 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P142,800 and P500 in marked money.

Another drug suspect identified by the police as Roseller Ramos, alias Ching, was also apprehended by the police in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. 1 poblacion, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

The arrest of Ramos also yielded about three grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P20,400 and its assorted paraphernalia and P100 in marked money.

The apprehension of Ronnel Coprada in Brgy. Poblacion, Toboso also on January 11, yielded two sachets of suspected shabu and P500 in buy-bust money, police said.*
