For topping the June 2025 Special Professional Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers in the Secondary Level, a graduate of the Binalbagan Catholic College (BCC) in Negros Occidental, will receive P100,000 from 5th District Representative Emilio Bernardino Yulo III.
Reyno Jison Abasolo, a graduate of BCC in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, ranked number one among the 399 teachers who passed the special professional licensure examinations, with a 90.60 percent rating.
Abasolo is a resident of Barangay 3, Binalbagan, which is among the local government units of the 5th district of Negros Occidental.
Elated by the achievements of Abasolo, Yulo, who extended scholarships to more than 2,000 students in the 5th district after he was elected as congressman in 2022, said “ we hope, he will serve as an inspiration to other students,” noting also that many graduates in the provincial schools made it the top 10 in licensure examinations.
“This is not just a victory for him, it is a victory for all those studying in all state colleges and universities. If you work hard, have so much knowledge, you will always make it (to the top),” said Yulo, who was among those attended the inauguration rites of elected Negros Occidental provincial government officials led by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, on June 28 at the Provincial Capitol grounds in Bacolod City.
Yulo said he expects to turn over the cash reward to Abasolo next week.*
