Operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office arrested a street level individual in a buy-bust operation at about 11:45 p.m. Thursday in Brgy. 3, Bacolod City, and seized P102,000 worth of suspected shabu from him.
P/Lt. Edward Bolivar, DEU officer-in charge, identified the arrested suspect as Dennis Salazar, 36, of Purok Langka 1, Brgy. 3, Bacolod City.
Bolivar said they arrested Salazar after he allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer for P500.
He said they recovered seven more sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about 15 grams, from Sanchez during his arrest.
Meanwhile, operatives of the BCPO Warrant Section served the arrest warrant of Michael Arellano, 23, of Brgy. Calumangan, Bago City, at the Bacolod District Jail in Brgy. Handumanan, at about 10 a.m. yesterday.
P/Staff Sgt. Ian Joy Brinque said that Arellano had a standing arrest warrant for illegal possession of firearms, issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 45 Judge, Phoebie Gargantiel Balbin, who set his bail at P100,000. Brinque said Arellano is in jail for illegal drug charges.*
