After extending help to victims of typhoon Odette in Negros Occidental, the provincial government is now focusing efforts in the repair and rehabilitation of damaged government hospitals.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz yesterday said that an amount of P10 million has been earmarked for the repair of Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City and the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City, which suffered damages during the onslaught of typhoon Odette in December 16 last year.
Diaz said that the Merceditas J. Montilla District Hospital in Sipalay City, the Negros Residences and Negros First Food Terminal, being operated by the provincial government of Negros Occidental, also incurred damages.
Both are also up for major repairs, he added. The Mambukal Mountain Resort in Brgy. Minoyan, Murcia, has been opened to the public after completion of repairs.*
