Simultaneous anti-drug operations by the police in Western Visayas on September 30, in Bacolod City and Estancia in Iloilo, have yielded 1.6 kilos of suspected shabu, dried marijuana leaves, and two firearms.
Drug Enforcement Team operatives of Police Station 2 seized an estimated 50 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P320,000 from an arrested drug suspect identified by the police as Alias Bulldog, during a buy bust operation at Purok Kagaykay in Brgy. 2, Bacolod City.
Another buy bust operation conducted by operatives of the BCPO Police Station 4 also resulted to the arrest of two more drug suspects identified only through their aliases, Bubu and Jan Jan, in Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City, along with the recovery of an estimated 15 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P102,000.
In a statement, the Police Regional Office 6 reported that Police Station 4 operatives also recovered 10 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves and two caliber .38 revolvers.
The police also confiscated 1.6 kilos of suspected shabu with a market value of P10.8 million, during a buy bust operation in Estancia, Iloilo, that resulted to the apprehension of two drug suspects, PRO 6 records showed.
Three other drug suspects were also arrested in the cities of La Carlota, Cadiz and Talisay, Negros Occidental, that also yielded an improvised 12-gauge shotgun with two ammunition, 12 sachets of suspected shabu, and P1,000 in marked money.*
