More than P112,000 in suspected shabu was seized by the Bacolod police from six drug personalities they arrested in barangays 2, Taculing, and Singcang-Airport Friday and Saturday.
P/Major Sherlock Gabana, Bacolod Police spokesperson, said Station 2 policemen arrested Eric Cordero, 32, of St. Vincent in Brgy. Alijis, Rodel Bacton, 46, of Purok Lubi, Brgy. 3, and Juliana Sablon, 20, of Purok Sigay, Brgy. 2 near her residence, after one of them sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P500 to a police poseur buyer, at about 5 p.m. Friday.
The police also confiscated seven more sachets of suspected shabu, weighing three grams and worth P20,400, from the suspects.
Station 6 policemen, led by P/Major Leo Estopa, nabbed Remar Agsam, 29, of Brgy. Tangub, and Joery Beton, 34, of Zircon Street in Brgy. Taculing, during a buy-bust at the latter’s residence, at about 6:30 p.m., also on Friday.
Ten sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about 1.5 grams and worth P10,200, P500 in marked money, an improvised tooter, a disposable lighter, and two pouches were recovered from the suspects after their arrest, the police said.
At about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Randy Azuelo, alias Liboy, 26, of Purok Saturn in Brgy. Singcang-Airport, was nabbed by the Bacolod Police Drug Enforcement Unit with six sachets of suspected shabu, worth P81,600, in a buy-bust operation in Purok Mars in the barangay.
A sling bag and P300 in cash proceeds were recovered from Azuelo during his arrest, the police added.*
