The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region reported the confiscation of P12 million worth of illegal drugs, across the region from December 1 to 7.
In 52 anti-drug operations, sixty eight 68 drug personalities were neutralized by the police, following their arrests for having in their possession a total of about two kilos of suspected shabu.
The bulk of illegal drugs was seized by the police on Dec. 6 in San Jose, Negros Oriental, following the confiscation of almost a kilo of suspected shabu valued at P7 million, or more or less 1,019 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P6,929,200, during a decisive buy-bust operation at Purok 5, Barangay Jilocon, San Jose, Negros Oriental, on December 6, 2025.
In the campaign against illegal possession of firearms, PRO-NIR records showed that 16 violators were arrested, while 48 firearms and seven explosives were accounted for, the bulk of which were surrendered to the authorities.
In the same period, 80 fugitives were arrested, of which 12 of them are categorized by the police as most wanted persons.
Twenty-two persons were apprehended by illegal gambling, with P5,737 in alleged cash bets seized by the police.*
