The long arm of the law finally caught up with elusive member of a local drug group, following his arrest yesterday in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, that also resulted in the seizure of P14.3 million worth of suspected shabu.
The police intelligence-driven operation led to the arrest of Michael Frias, 45, a member of the Caunda Drug Group, according to a statement issued by the Police Regional Office 6.
The arrest of Frias, tagged by the BCPO as a High Value Individual drug personality, yielded about 2.115 kilos of suspected shabu with a market value of P14,382,000, a digital weighing scale, P10,000 in marked money, and P220 in cash.
In a statement, the Police Regional Office 6 lauded the latest anti-drug campaign accomplishments of the BCPO.

On August 9, the police also apprehended another drug suspect identified as Neri Antonette Bermejo in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
The buy bust operation of the Silay City police yielded about 12 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P81,600, and P1,000 in marked money.*
