Bacolod City police arrested two street-level drug suspects and seized approximately P170,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Vista Alegre on March 22.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit apprehended a 23-year-old male, alias ‘GanGan,’ and a 22-year-old female, alias ‘Althea,’ after an undercover officer successfully purchased illegal drugs.
Authorities recovered roughly 25 grams of the substance, which has been forwarded to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
The suspects now face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, including the sale and possession of illegal substances.
In a statement, the Bacolod City Police Office said they are maintaining its aggressive campaign against illegal drugs and urged public cooperation to help ensure the community remains peaceful and drug-free.*
