About P176,800 worth of suspected shabu were seized by the police in a series of buy bust operations on February 19 in Negros Occidental, leading to the arrest of six drug suspects, according to the police.
The buy bust operation at Purok Malipayon in Brgy. Zone 2, Cadiz City on Monday led to the apprehension of two drug suspects, including a jobless woman and a Small Town Lottery agent.
It resulted in the confiscation of 3.5 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P23,800.
Another buy bust operation at Sitio Cabug in Brgy. Guinhalaran, Silay City, led to the arrest of another drug suspect identified only by the police as a certain Ted Agi.
The buy bust operation resulted in the confiscation of about 16 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P108,800, according to the police.
Two more drug suspects were also accounted for by the police, following their arrests at Sitio Litib-Litib, in Brgy. 6, Victorias City, in an operation that yielded more or less 15 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P102,000.
Policemen also recovered about five grams of suspected shabu from an arrested drug suspect, a laborer, at Bucros Gamay in Brgy. 2 poblacion, La Carlota City, yielding an estimated five grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P34,000.
All the arrested drug suspects, whose identities have been withheld by the police, are locked up in jail.*
