More than P1 million worth of suspected shabu was recovered by the police in three buy bust operations during the weekend in highly urbanized Bacolod City, and the component city of Silay in Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of three drug suspects during a buy bust operation on Sunday at Purok Sambag in Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, led to the recovery of about 52 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P353,600.
A day earlier, the police also seized about 75 grams of suspected shabu valued at P510,000, from an arrested drug suspect in another buy bust operation at Purok Tahong in Brgy. 2, Bacolod City.
The apprehension of a certain Ann, tagged by the police as a High Value Individual drug personality, in Brgy. 3, and the arrest of alias Padoy in Brgy. Rizal, both in Silay City, also yielded 21 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P142,800, and a caliber .22 pistol with 10 ammunition, on Saturday.
All the five arrested drug suspects are now locked up in jail.*
