Policemen have seized more than P1 million worth of suspected shabu in series of buy bust operations on June 5, in Negros Occidental.
One of the four arrested drug suspects turned out to be a member of a local drug group, whose apprehension at Purok Arao in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, yielded an estimated 160 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1 million.
The arrested 61-year-old drug suspect, whose identity was withheld by the police, was alleged to be a member of Caunda Drug Group, and categorized as a High Value Individual drug personality.
Policemen also seized about 27,000 worth of suspected shabu from three other arrested drug suspects in cities of Himamaylan, Bago and Talisay,Negros Occidental, also on June 5.
Recovered were P1,200 in marked money, among other items.
The four arrested drug suspects are now locked up in jail, pending the filing of charges against them for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.*
