More than P2.1 million worth of suspected shabu have been recovered by the police in separate buy-bust operations on November 25, in Brgys. 16 and Bata, all in Bacolod City.

Operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit and Police Station 1 seized about 300 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P2.04 million, during the arrest of Lester Tindoc, a 35-year-old tricycle driver, at Purok Dalawidaw in Brgy. 16, Bacolod City.

P/Col. Joseph Martir, acting director of the Bacolod City Police Office, yesterday said that Tindoc alias Buktot, listed as a High Value Individual drug personality.

PLt. Joeven Mogato, BCPO-DEU team leader, reported that Tindoc was recently released from jail, for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

The DEU operatives also recovered P3,000 in marked money.

Another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City, also led to the recovery of about 16 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P104,000, and the arrest of a drug suspected identified by the police as Jordan Juris Prudencia.

Lt.Col. Arnel Solis, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 6, that the buy-bust operation took place at the residence of Prudencia, where his customers usually picked the illegal drugs.

Solis said that Prudencia sold P300 worth of suspected shabu to the police poseur buyer, who also recovered shabu paraphernalia, aside from the 16 grams of illegal drugs.

Prudencia, according to Solis, had a previous drug case in Malay, Aklan in 2016, and availed of plea bargaining two years after.

Another drug suspect identified as Ebenizer Matillano was also arrested by the police at Molave St. in Brgy.San Teodoro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, for violation of RA 9165.

The arrest of Matillano, who was chased by the police for a theft case, yielded two sachets of suspected shabu.*
