Policemen yesterday seized more than three kilos of suspected shabu during a buy bust operation at Purok Neptune in Brgy. Singcang Airport, Bacolod City.
The confiscated shabu, taken from a High Value Individual drug personality, whose identity was withheld, has a market value of P20,536,000.
The buy bust operation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police.
According to BCPO, the arrested suspect had been imprisoned at the Bilibid National Penitentiary for illegal drugs. However, he was released from jail after the case was dismissed by the court.
In August this year, BCPO also confiscated P8.8 million worth of suspected shabu in the same barangay.
There are reports that the confiscated three kilos of suspected shabu have been earmarked for distribution on the ongoing MassKara Festival celebrations.*
