Policemen seized more than P217,000 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations on December 4 in Pontevedra and Talisay City, Negros Occidental, that also led to the arrest of two drug suspects.
The buy-bust operation at Purok Malinong in Brgy. San Juan, Pontevedra, which was a joint operation of the PNP Drug Enforcement Unit Special Operations Unit 6, led to the apprehension of Abigael Arellano, 18, of Brgy. Cambaog, Hinigaran.
An estimated 30 grams of suspected shabu with a street market value of P204,000, marked money of P1,000 and a Honda Beat motorcycle were also recovered from the arrested suspect.
A similar buy-bust operation at Purok Santan in Brgy. Zone 12, Talisay City, also led to the arrest of Joel Duena, alias Kulong, 53, of the place.
His arrest also yielded two grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P13,600, P400 in cash, P200 in marked money, and a cellular phone, among others.
The two arrested drug suspects are now locked up in jail.*
